Key to classes

BLS/CPR: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals and  Heartsaver CPR & AED training for
non-healthcare rescuers. Anyone may attend this class, whether working or studying in a health care field or
to learn CPR for work or any reason. HOPE and LMS students may also attend. Class includes adult, child,
and infant CPR, use of AED, and relief of choking. Click here to register (Conway Rd location) or Click here to

BLS skills check: As an alternative to taking the traditional BLS/CPR classroom course, students may
complete the BLS course work online, and then come in for a 30 minute skills check session, where basic life
support skills are demonstrated in front of an instructor. Click here to access the AHA online course catalog
and complete the online course work. At the time of the skills check session, students must present the
certificate of completion from the online course to receive their certification card. Click here to register

First Aid: This class is separate from CPR training; if you need both CPR and First Aid training, you must
register for the two separate classes, either on the same or different days. Course teaches essential first aid
techniques and safety precautions, including bandaging, splinting and practice using Epi-pen. Also includes
information on burns, insect and animal bites, heart attack, seizure, and stroke. Click here to register

ACLS: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - the initial /
full class is 12 hours, and may be all in one day or split over 2 days. The renewal class is 8 hours. ACLS
students are required to have a current BLS certification card, a current ACLS student manual, and complete
the ACLS course pretest (these are standard AHA requirements). Click here to register

PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support - the initial / full class is 12 hours, and may be all in one day or split
