*The First Aid training class is a SEPARATE CLASS from CPR/Basic Life Support. If you need both training classes, select the combo First Aid + BLS/CPR, and enter both a date and time for your First Aid class, as well as a date and time for your CPR class (you may take them both on the same day or on different days. For the CPR class, choose any of the "BLS/CPR" classes on our calendar). For our First Aid classes, a manual is not required, and everything will be provided at class.
The 2010 AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) manual is REQUIRED for health care providers only who also need the BLS/CPR certification class. This includes, but is not limited to: MDs, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, EMTs, PMs, RTs, ARNPs, HUCs,, nursing students (or students in any health care field). Health care providers may borrow a manual to use during class only for $10, or may purchase a manual to keep for $20. Students may share a manual if desired. If you buy or borrow the manual from us, it will be distributed at the time of class, as there is no advance preparation or studying required prior to class. Any class participant who needs the BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers certification will not be allowed to attend class without the required manual (must be by AHA, 2010 version). Students may pay the $10 to borrow the manual at the time of class, but we will accept CASH ONLY if paying at the time of class.
Non-health care students are not required to have any manuals. This includes, but is not limited to: day care or child care workers, nannies, teachers, parents, scout leaders, students in HOPE or LMS classes, or anyone wanting to learn life saving skills for personal reasons.
If you are unsure whether you should register as a health care provider or not, you should ask your employer or school what is required. You can also e-mail us at info@allcarecpr.com or call (407)432-4756
